A few weeks back there was a discussion about runaway trim systems. It just
so happens that a vendor came to our booth during Sun n Fun and dropped off
some literature from a company called Safety-Trim. This system is supposed
to work with Ray Allen products (the trim system that now comes in the
Lightning). The Ray Allen products have a great reliability record but for
those that are concerned you may want to take a look at this system.

This is not an endorsement but rather just letting you know that it's out
there on the market. We have no experience with this product or company so
you should do your own research before buying and installing one. For
further information you may visit their web site at: www.tcwtech.com.

There was a lengthy discussion on the Matronics RV10 list about this Safety Trim a couple of months ago. It was well received and a group buy was organised. Please note that the high control forces in a RV10 with a run away trim make it nearly impossible to fly.
