Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDNan_tbBss&NR=1

It's a 9-min. video of Commanders....including pics taken from the
copilot seat of N222JS!

I know it's one of you guys! ...or someone who should be on the list.
Especially considering that I'm pretty sure I know at least HALF the
people in this video!

Jimbob, you're there...
Chris & Dan, you're there too...
Who is the upside-down red/white airplane? Crunk?

I've seen many of these pics, but have never seen them assembled all in
one place.....seriously....who ARE you?

Cheers,

/John

Hi John,

I too have seen the vast majority of the pics before.
Many of them are already posted on various Internet sites, mostly airliners.net
but some could be from myaviation.net or jetphotos.net.

If you look at the bottom of the photo, most have a black band with
Airliners.net on it.

But, I think some of the pics have been 'lifted' from "our" website too.
I seem to recall that I sent in the two shots that have the Blue Angels, as
that's Arnie Palmer in his Model 500.
Is the upside-down one Al Hoffman's 500?

I've got a feeling it isn't anyone on the list who has compiled this.

Best Regards,
Barry

Hi,
I'm Dick Polits (dickpol on youtube and yahoo). My brother, Russ, and I attended the Aero Commander gathering in Hillsboro as non-members. It was a blast to hang out with you commander die-hards.

Our Dad owned a 680E N3820C in the late 60's and swapped it for a 680FP N233W around the mid 70's, both purchased from Swede Ralston. Dad donated N233W to Mercy Flights in Medford (lost his medical) just before it's demise. I lost track of N3820C but think it found it's way to Buddy Windham. Needless to say, my brother and I bonded with the commanders and have been following them for years. Dad's two commader pics on Flickr:
http://www.flickr.com/gp/96607407(at)N00/90Gae6

The video began life as a 300+ slideshow of commanders mostly. Since my brother isn't computer savy I converted it to a 35 minute video burning it to DVD for a birthday present. Uploading the video to youtube chopped it off at 9 minutes and 59 seconds. Not a real problem as the first 10 minutes have the best pictures and it does get boring watching them all.

The pictures were gathered from the sources mentioned. Also, I have a program that sucks the pictures from the rec.pictures.aviation newsgroup that I skim off a few pics a month. Educate me if I've violated some rules in my picture acquisition adventure.

The only flying I do is with MS Flight Sim (has commanders!) and a RC plane (non-commander). I'm not usually chatty and like to hear what's going on in the commander world (lurk) and love the pictures. They take me back to happy memories of family, friends, and fun revolving around "The Commander".

Boy, I've had a great time in commanderland!

Dick Polits

See, I knew it!

Dick,

I was at the gathering in hillsboro and I remember meeting you and hearing about your family attachment to Commanders. Nice to see you still lurk in Commanderland!

Cheers,

John
