Has any one played with changing the thrust ine with the 912UL? Any information to this subject would be a grat help. The more I learn I realize how little I know and am not to proud to ask and then make up my mind as to what to do.
When I bought the plane the 582 had been replaced with a 912UL. The plane flew great and did every thing I had hoped for but the set up was a shade tree set up. To meet the inspection requirerments for the AP the factory mount set up was installed along with several other things. The plane flys okey but not like it use to. They had shimed the engine to change the thrust line which gave it a better rate of climb and great on short field take offs and landings. As a rule I take photos before and after ( age has made menory shorter) but didn't this time as I was pressed for time to get it inspected for LSA.
