This is slightly unrelated, but I think y'all will like it anyway.

We were out at the RAF Museum at Duxford yesterday. Weather was absolutely perfect. The Aerostars were there practicing... they put on a good show.

Near the end of the day we were watching a Spitfire going around a bit and when the pilot landed we went over to tell the pilot that where we're from, flying a dual-control Spitfire with an empty back seat is a violation.

Well, he told us that the Spitfire belongs to his mom, and he just turned *23* so he's been out every nice day to rack up the 50 hours he needs before the insurance company will let him take passengers.

Talk about having your stars aligned! Great kid... he seemed to be enjoying the hell out of it.

Just thinking about that made Gabby cry.........

His grandparents had to drag him out of the Duxford Museum by the hair a few years ago. I think he said all their planes fly?

How many of us would sign any waiver and duck down in the back seat for those hours!

Glad you enjoyed the Aerostars practice days.

If you're still around next week get yourself to North Weald just 40 minutes drive south
from Duxford for our Spring Formation Training week. It'll be wall to wall Yaks, 52's, 50's 11's and just maybe a 9.

BTW its also the Aerostars home base.
