Yep. My CJ-6 was used as the photo ship. A German photographer was doing an article on the machine and its owner and was also staying with friends on our airpark. The Cobra was on its way north and RON at our airpark. The guys than gave me some stick time for using my plane.

I help in finding some back ground too. There is a virgin area not far from us that looks just like the Mekong Delta. It even has elephant grass. We took some pictures over that.

Where's that, along the natural path of the Oklawaha or somewhere else in the Rodman Range?

You're close! Actually the area is right off the south end of Lake Crescent. Your right, the Oklawaha would be great for river shot "look a-likes"

Just flew over the Pine Castle range on my way down to S&F. They have a city on the one of the ranges there that looks just like down town Baghdad. Supposedly when range was "hot" last week the Army guys were using it with gun ships. It is 23.5nm miles from me. When they drop 2,000 pounders it raddles my hangar door! I call it the "sound of freedom".

Its been a few years since I've been there though I guess the fun is just a good as it was ...

I just can't place a grassy area in the south of Crescent Lake, maybe its come up since I've been there, though: is it on the east side of the lake? seems like I remember something there ........

Tell you one thing, it'd be some fun to drop a Huey ... or any helo for that matter ... beneath the tops anywhere on the natural Oklawaha east of 19. Out in the reservoir, of course, would be a walk in the so-called park.

Sorry I'm not in the 'hood to enjoy the Snake rotor voice.
