Just wondering if anyone has done anything special with their door handles
with regard
to steamlining. I was looking at the flush mount ones from ACS that are used
on the liberty
but worry they will be too deep to fit in the door. I was thinking that a
blended fillet
starting at the front of the door coming out about 20mm high and deep then
blending back in about 2/3 the
way along the door with the handle set into this so it is effectively flush
with the skin of the door.
I have seen the "aerofoil" shaped handles which would be my next choice.
regards
craig

I take it you havnt painted your bird yet, I just wonder if it might wear
the paint where the handle rubs the skin,or do you have a plan
with regard to that, other than that it looks good, and self locking which
is a bonus

Craig,
Yes, that's a concern...still scratchin my head about it...expect to
find something superslick to coat the edges...maybe silicone,
teflon...any ideas?
Figured that was solvable and I liked the fillet w/ no gap for
moisture, lack of draginess...
(definition of "draginess": same relation to drag as "truthiness" has
to truth; i.e., it wants to have the appearance of minimal drag, it may
not however, though overall, it probably makes no difference,)
cheers,
Fred

How about an ultra-low friction plastic? McMaster-Carr has PTFE in
adhesive backed sheets in a variety of thicknesses. see page 3507 (!)
of the catalog. Or should I say catalogue?

For some reason the photos didn't come through in this post. Any chance you could post them again or put them somewhere in the gallery?
Thanks,
Dan
