When I was using bungies, would take a 1" X 1" X 2' board and bump the wraps together using a hammer. That would allow more room for the last 1 or 2 wraps. Worked very well for me. Clint

Cory,
Check the archives again! This topic gets covered at least
once a year and there are innumerable methods. Mine is to get 4
wraps, then pull the slack to one end using channel-locks, then clamp
the 3rd wrap to the tube using vice grips and leather, then get two
more wraps, repeat until you get six. You can do it solo and with not
much cursing.

Cory,
First, you'll need a copy of "The complete Longshoreman's guide to foul language", next needed is an act of Congress.....
Seriously, enlist a helper. One person inside, the other underneath. Tough to hold the turns with fingers, but is doable.(reference longshoreman's guide). Some guy's here have reported success holding the turns with zip(or cable)ties,or padded vice grips.Good luck.

I dont understand the problems with the bungees. I just did mine on the Avid and it took 2 guys 5 minutes by hand. one inside one outside. We did 2 kitfox last year same way. I use a ratchet strap around the axle to hold the gear up then hook one side, pass it around and pull tight. While the guy on top holds the bungee over the truss, I pull though from the bottom and had back up. hell I had to take a wrap off last week cause we got it too tight just by hand. You want a challenge, try putting the bungees on a PA-12 without the proper tool.... that is just about a sure way to get a quick trip to the E.R. for stitches.

Thanks for all the tips. With the combination of a few of your tips I was able to get it done. The first one was pretty bad, but after I got the technique down the second took like 15 minutes.
