Has anybody added a bolt or two to 6G3-2 (where the pipes come together under fuselage?) Makes sense to me, but not being an Aeronautical Engineer, I really hate to crash because of a couple added bolts.
Seems like it would strengthen the steps on both sides.

I had it welded at a local shop.

I also had mine welded. First I drilled a couple of centering holes, pinned it and had it tig welded. It DOES add strength.
If you search the Zenith archive you will see that we previously had a good discussion on this issue.

I think Larry Macfarland provided a link to a photo of how he did it the
last time this came up. He (or someone else) boxed it in with two "L"
extrusions fastened to the bottom of the fuselage.

I have found and read the archive on this subject. Thanks to all those the replied. I think a couple bolts would stiffen things up a bit.
