Mr John W.,

   

    I agree with you regarding posting the proper subject in the subject line, but while we're on the subject of email etiquette, how about these others items of consideration?

   

  1) When you change the subject and go off on some tangent to the original subject, how about CHANGING the subject line? This would be especially useful for someone to look up information later in the archives.

   

  2) How about SIGNING your name?  Why do you leave it to us to go searching for who you are?  It's like listening to someone talking to you from another room...and we have to go figure out who you are!

   

  3) When signing your name, how about identifying your Kolb affiliation?  As in MkIII, Firefly, Firestar, Ultrastar, etc.  You help us know your realm of flying.  Don't assume everyone knows who you are.

   

   4) How about answering someones question nicely?  (rather than ignore them)  While your flight experience may not see the use of their concern, why not politely explain to them why you feel the way you do.  Who knows?  Maybe they will come around to your way of thinking!!

   

    My apologies for preaching.  It's just that I feel this needed to be said.  You can beat me up now.

 I'm not John W, but I agree with all the  below.

  

 To defend myself, I don't always have time to  answer ever email that is posted to the Kolb List that I could comment on based  on my own personal experience.  If I did, I'd be sitting here at the  computer rather than out flying, which I am about to do.  

  

 Going to do a 120 sm cross country to get an idea  how my mkIII is really flying before I load up and fly to MV.  Flying  around the patch or 10 miles over to the local airport does not tell me what the  airplane is going to do on a long cross country flight.

* Every post I make to this list includes my Signature Block on file with this Email List.

* As outlined in the Matronics Official Kolb-List Usage Guidelines, I have my Kolb affiliation listed in every Signature Block.

Hey John H, The confusor must have changed the spelling of Kolbra in my signature block. When I check on it, it is correct. So if you see 

"Kimbra" that is also me.
