With the aircraft up on jacks, the fillers removed (0 pressure in struts) and the strut is pushed all the way up in the gear leg (use a second jack if needed to push the strut up to the stops. Next the fluid is added until it comes out of the hole, the filler valve is replaced, (remove 2nd jack)and air added to 668 to 697 psi . Strut will now extend to it's max extention (try not to let it slam down to the stops). Use soapy water on oleo in seal area and filler valve on crush seal and inner valve to check for leaks.
I got this from Doug Sapp,, as I'm doing mine as well.

If possible use nitrogen rather than air, it’s a lot better than air...

Thanks,
What kind of fluid to use? How do you drain the old fluid?

Definitely use Nitrogen when pressurizing struts.

I also would like to know the type of fluid to use to service the strut.
Thanks,
