WILLY'S ARTICLE IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY. I SAID IT WAY BACK WHEN ON CAUTIONING MANAUVERING SPEED VERSUS VNE, ITS NOT THE PLANE ITS THE PILOT, AND WITH THE WRITING BY A MORE QUALIFIED EXPERT LIKE WILLIAM, IT PUT SOME TEETH TO THE STATEMENT. THANKS WILLIAM FOR THE VERY GOOD ARTICLE.

I would like to say thanks to William for his perspective. I'm not sure where I fit in, as far as type of builder, but I am a very inexperienced pilot--actually I'm not a pilot, I just fly with friends. My experience level does not afford me the luxury of shrugging off comments that may be obviously erroneous to a more experienced person. I appreciate those who are more experienced than myself offering a well tempered dose of learnin'.

When I was beginning my training I was VERY lucky to have an "Old Timer" instructor, from them, we students receive the better and easy to follow advise:
Most of them I remember once in while, but this are always in my mind when flying (Hope I translate correct, yes they were in Spanish):
Understand (or Ask) everything you do while flying.
Never get into something you are not trained to do.
Never stop learning about flying in your life.
Always practice as much as you can.
To boys or girls pilots to be, He said that your airplane is like your best girl (boy) friend: Listen, be Firm but gentle and with loving care and will keep faithfull.
Airplanes are not jealous (you can fly other airplanes  , But If you loose control badly, will not leave you or divorce, but might kill you without mercy.

There is a better and well balanced article in the March/April issue of Zenair News.
It has less of the self puffery than Williams article
