Somewhere I miss what the average operating water (coolant) temp is on the 912/914. Yes, the manual and things I read gives lowest start temp, hot start temp and max temp. But I would really like an average. 180f, 190f, 200f ??? Or would just say 180f to 220f is a good number to keep it in?

Thanks for the info! I don't have the Rotax spider expansion tank and made my own water spider coming into one 1" pipe then into a 1" (in/out at 90 degree) in-line filler neck and cap with built in thermostat system. I planning on putting an 180f thermostat in it and 16 lbs cap. The cap is 1.1bar (16lbs) and Rotax latest recommendations is 1.2bar. Still looking for the 1.2bar that will fit my application.

180F-220F is very normal for this time of year. If you are using a 50/50 coolant then 248F is max. In the winter it might be lower in the 165F range. In the winter the warmer the better (i.e. 180F-220F)
