Troops,

Time is getting close!

If your are coming to AirVenture this year and the RPA's celebration, you want to make sure you pre-register with the EAAWB. This is important, because you get a lot of free stuff as pilots.

You get two (2) full week admissions bracelets.
A parking pass for one car. You need to ask for this.
And goodies (hat, mugs, doodads) from various sponsors.

This real easy to do. Simply go to the EAAWB web site. http://www.warbirds-eaa.org/
Answer the questions and you're done.

When you get to OSH, simply go to the EAAWB check-in booth and you're done.

While you're on the same web site, you can grab the OSH NOTAMS. Its 32 pages long! Read it all once., than reread and understand the Warbird Arrival. Also you really need to know the patterns for the different runways.

Other paper work for other stuff.

Have a couple of copies of your tickets, medical, your last BFR and the last annual on the airplane.
The last couple of years they have been hard on us about having copies of our insurance. (I guess this is very important to the lawyers), so a couple of copies of your insurance page that show your coverage, with your aircraft info on it will do.

If your airplane still has the 300 mile prior notice restriction on it, make sure you have a copy of your notification to your FSDO with you too.  This is not just for federalies who might be hanging around OSH, but the possibility of you getting 'ramp checked' in route.

Get'er done.

Will the ground marshalling crews know to put us all together using the WB sign from the OSH notam, or do we need a more specific one (ie, CJ6)?

Reason I ask is that I'll be arriving on the morning of the 28th, prior to the mass arrival, so I want to make sure I'm directed to the proper place the first time!

I will be transiting through West Bend on the morning of the 28th to catch up on any last minute news.

Yes there will be special marshalling. Those a/c (Yaks & CJs) that will not be flying during the show, will be parked along a special roll. Those coming in from West Bend during the show on Monday, will their own special places along with those who will be flying in the show. The details have not been quite worked out yet, and there may be some repositioning later but not much. Just follow instruction and don't decide to just to park where you please.

Will be great to have you Mike, I am flying up to Tenn today to meet and
make final prep with the RedStar Ground Ops team. We will be publishing the
full ground and air ops plan for the big show very soon, so everyone will
have that prior to leaving for OSH
