re opening an old topic

 

 

 Any insight on the electric form of carb heat for de ice purposes.  I have a searey project, with the additional alternator so I have current to spare.    I have seen one on the jabaru sight with 2 different  settings. this seems to go on the in board side of the carb.  Another screws in to bottom of the carb.  Both draw a few amps, so maybe not enough energy to really be effective.  This would be easier then re plumbing for the sky- drive water based system.
