I just got the first 2 sets of the new overlays.  THe primary difference is that these have their own clear plastic insert for the gauges.  The clear plastic will go on the INSIDE of the panel.  The right overlay is flat; i.e., no joggle for the clear plastic like the original.  Thus, if you wish, you will be able to mount the overlay directly over the gauges with no attaching screws showing.  The gauges themselves could be mounted directly to the panel with countersunk screws.

I found a couple of minor errors in the panels.  They are being corrected.  The new panels do not need any trimming to fit as with the previous versions of the aluminum overlays.

Sorry, I must have missed the beginning of this discussion. But, what or which overlay are you talking about? Available for an AA5A with similar minor modifications?

These are aluminum panel overlays to replace the plastic overlay.  We will be offering two types.  One for the basic panel, the other will be blank on the right where the engine gauges are.
