A cheap & dirty quick blind duplicator is two hacksaw blades. Screw through one end, whatever you like at the other.
Another, although not very flexible, is a pair of metal yardsticks. You can disassemble it to still use the yardstick, re-assemble to locate holes.
I like the metal banding idea, too. Good to know I'm not the only pack rat on the list.

Please get your terms straight, the Genus is "Bottomfeeder". "Pack Rat",
"Dumpster Diver", etc. are just a couple of the zillions of "species".
