Okay......so there was a bit of non-technical info directed to the List.
Thing is, the completion of an aircraft is a joyous occasion for the builder, and a bit of sillyness is just about the only way the rest of us have to convey our pleasure in the accomplishment.
We can't be there to slap him on the back, shake his hand, run our hands over the rivets, admire the purr of his engine idling, or stand on the tarmac to watch him swoop low whle wagging his tail.
Stiff-upper-lip smiles don't email well.
Again, George, congrats!! And I still admire the clean floor.
