Would anyone happen to have the "drive train" to turn the antenna back and forth for a RCA Primus 20/30 WXD? It is a phased-array the tilt moves it up and down, it is the back and forth that has ground to a halt. the unit (indicator) works fine. If I can't get the gear replaced, looks like I might end up pulling the indicator out and filling the hole with a new "experimental" unit like the GRT with syntehtic vision, xmsr weather and just put a label on it... "VFR only" chuckle chuckle... wonder why I am looking for a 40 year old gear? But - if someone had one, (cheap) and I could get my avionics guy to drop it in - the green screen has certainly served me very well over the years in my 500B. To get a radar shop to look at and fix it - I might as well by the grand rapids technology, or blue mountain, or dynon - whatever.

Bob,

Check with Commander Dock (Jack Chappell) I think I had one some time ago and traded it to Jack. His phone # is (951) 371-7513. Tell him I said to give you a good deal.

Kory,

That's horrible news....Jack has been a major part of our flight group
for as long as I've been involved (10 yrs?). I'm sorry to hear about
this. I hope everything works out for the best and I know we're all
pulling for Jack.

John,
Can I ask, Jack Who?

Our prayers are with them. Is there any thing we can do?

I have an outstanding 560E that is comparable to any in the fleet. And that is because Jack Chappell in 1994 urged me to restore it rather than cut it up and sell the parts. Remember that Jack was in the business of buying and selling Commander parts and could have acquired many profitable items for almost nothing if I had gone forward with my plan to part-out 50BP. He loves "whole" Twin Commanders more than the pieces. I could write pages describing how he has, and will continue, to influence my attitude and love for Commanders. I cannot list the many times he has driven from Corona and/or Riverside Airports to Apple Valley Airport to solve a major problem I perceived to have had with a very simple word or two. He has been and always will be my friend.
