Group,

I'm thinking of getting a 701 for just some simple fun flying. One question I have is: can one remove the doors and fly without them? In the heat of a Texas summer the idea is appealing.

Yes, do it all the time. You'll lose some speed/aerodynamics, no big deal.
Side slips are interesting...

Don't stick your head out looking down if you care about your hat ;')
Its tempting...

Haven't yet tried flying with them on but up (top hinge), but I've
heard of it being done. I would need to fail-proof my latch before
trying that...
