The section of exhaust with the heat shroud for cockpit heat (cylinder #eight) has gone Tango Uniform. The inner (main) pipe appears to be too thin and burned thru...resulting in lots of exhaust and CO in the cockpit. NOT good!
The shroud has been cut off and the pipe cobbled together with many welds, that are failing on a daily basis due to the thinness of the pipe. And I have no cockpit heat, which I will need this winter.
So...my questions are:
1.) Is it possible to buy just this section with the heat shroud, or am I forced to buy an entire new exhaust system?
2.) If I have to buy a whole system, does anyone have any experience with/and recommend the "slip-joint" system vs. the stock system?
Thanks,
Steve Dalton

Mozam,
Talk to Steve Culp. He sold me the #2 section on the left bank for my YAK a
year ago. He has the complete right side still the last time I talked to
him.

Hey Guys, perhaps we should all remove and check for failure of the heat
exchange system on our Yaks, could have failed without our knowing. We all
know that stuff is colorless and oderless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Steve, could you
provide some pics of your system?
