Hello, all
I intend to buy a (manual) rivet squeezer (so far I have borrowed one), and I would appreciate to read about your experiences with these tools:

http://www.ustool.com/usstore.asp?WCI=wciViewItem&WCE=90997s

(Brown Tools seems to be offline, and Avery's squeezer is too expensive http://www.averytools.com/p-497-avery-hand-rivet-squeezers.aspx )
Thanks for your comments

A good tool is never cheap. The squeezers you list except for Avery all use proprietary yokes. The Avery squeezer uses the same yokes the pneumatic squeezers use. These are high quality yokes you can buy most anywhere, but better yet you can BORROW from other builders. If you have any RV builders in your area, many use pneumatic squeezers (they squeezers tens of thousands of rivets). Those that don't tend to have either the Avery or Cleaveland tool kits that also use the pneumatic yokes. If you need to squeeze many, but not a lot (I know it's all relative), I recommend the Cleaveland tools "Main Squeeze" (see link below). It is 30% lighter in weight & 65% less effort required and, yes, it's true. I've used it. I also own the Avery hand squeezer and a pneumatic squeezer. BTW, the Avery squeezer comes with quick change yoke pins and, more importantly, an adjustable set holder that is strong enough to be used in pneumatic squeezer. That will make setting up the squeezer a lot easier.
When building and eventually, flying your aircraft, you'll still need to have tools for repair and maintenance. I understand this is an expensive purchase for you, but it is really an investment. The ability to use "standard" yokes will make the tool total investment less and, if you want or need to, you can more easily sell it/them. Lastly, the first two squeezers on your list are only $9 and $0 Dollars different from the Avery Squeezer (ignoring the exchange rate).

Good Luck with your build,

I have a Tatco hand squeezer, which I used to use a lot, that is until
I bought a rivet gun. Now I just do all my solids with it. Especially the
5/32 which are VERY hard to squeeze.
The squeezer is usefull, but a gun can do everything it can plus. Having
both on the other hand is good too.
Advantage to the squeezer though is less chance of wrecking something,
which the gun will do in the blink of an eye if you get careless.

I have the one you listed from an Ebay store.
It worked well for me. But can't remember using it for anything other than 3/32" rivets (wing, flaperon, elevator, stab. trailing edges), so can't speak to how well it holds up under heavier duty use. Before getting it I had borrowed a pneumatic squeezer for a little while, and that was really convenient. Mine came with two yokes, one that looks the same as in the Ebay store, and another with a longer throat. I don't recall needing the longer throat. I may have paid a little more than $99 too. I also remember the rubber grips didn't stay on the chromed arms too well, mine tended to rotate and slip toward the end a little. Still liked it though.
