New CJ owner trying to cover all the bases for a fresh start..Pulled the water filter and absolutely cannot budge the end caps. Any suggestions for getting em' loose?
Maybe a squirt of break free and an overnight sit?

Pulled mine apart two days ago. I put it in a vise and didn't have any problem. But it must not have not been a maintenance concern for the previous owner. Corroded on the inside. Doug Sapp got me one ASAP. Back in the air today. I feel better about the integrity of the thing as it sits next to the oil tank.
Good luck. I think an overnight soak with some good penetrating oil and a firmly mounted vise would do the trick.

Keith:
If it is significantly corroded, just get a replacement from Doug Sapp (you'll get to know him well owning a CJ). He has one that is larger (holds more desiccant) and is made of stainless steel (no corrosion). It is a good investment in maintaining your air system.
