Can anyone recommend a good oil tank heater (120 V)

This is the only one I could find on the net:

Thanks,
Keith

I use the EZ-Heat model. Two pads with built in thermostat. Been using it for 9 years now with no problems.

Me too,

Two or three years ago I put an EZ heat two pad on the oil tank, a one pad on the oil cooler end tank and a one pad on the sump at the front of the engine for operations in Canada. They have worked flawlessly so far. Call EZ Heat and they will discuss with you their options for the M14P in a very helpful manner.

I use the reiff Hotstrip oil sump heater.

http://www.reiffpreheat.com/product.htm#HotStrip

It is two metal strips and a thermostat you glue to the sump with JB weld.

Easy to install, works great. On a 30 degree morning with the pre heat
strips running over night and the cowl covered with a blanket the engine is
at 40 degrees 15 seconds after starting and ready to taxi in 2-3 minutes.
Your results may vary.

After using it last winter I think it would be stupid not to have something
to pre heat the engine oil and engine. I always hated hearing that gearbox
whine for a minute until the oil got there. Now with the pre heater there is
almost no whining (2-3 secs typical)

Good luck.

Pete
