Hi all C well I've been trying to get my flaperons adjusted on the plane C and can't find the procedure in my manual. I did a search on the archives and that wasn't much help either. I even have the article by Mark Budak in the Kitfox Skystar Journal 'All about flaperon rigging and new tailwheel springs' and that isn't much help either. None of what I've read walks you through the process from start to finish. Can anyone help? All of the controls were in when I got the plane C but they are not set correctly. Jim,
I have the flaperon rigging procedures for a model V if that will help. They're at my hangar and I can email them tomorrow if that helps. Let me know if you're interested.

Jim, the flaperon rigging instructions in the manual are in the wing section, pages W-E-1 through W-E-8. Did you find them?

I just rigged a set on a model I and had troubles chasing it from one flaperon to the other... I ended up clamping a piece of aluminum angle to the flaperon just outboard of the strut attach point, then taped a paint stir stick to under the leading edge (it was the perfect width for what the book called out. With BOTH flaperons set for level it was a simple task to adjust the two linkage rods on the mixer with the mixer leveled, then center the stick with the heim joint. Took me about 10 minutes to have it all buttoned up after I immobilized both flaperons at 0 degrees.
