I just finished restoration of a Cheetah, 1670 TTSN. Engine by LyCon, who else. It dyno'd at 188 hp, leaned, at 2725 rpm. With a Power Flow, and a 61 inch pitch Sensenich [61 inch pitch], static rpm was just a touch over 2400 rpm, leaned.
Yesterday was the first flight. Climbed at 1500 fpm at 92 knots right from take-off (1536 feet) to 4500 feet. Straight and level at 4500 feet it easily ran over red-line. Too easily. Needs at least 2 inches more pitch. Flew to Lancaster pushing a 20 to 30 knot headwind all the way. Two hours into the return flight, I took it to 12,000 feet, turned red-line and then some, easily. Needs more prop.
Complete instrument panel upgrade. 2 430s, 340 audio panel and a 327 transponder. JPI EDM 700. Digital tach. Mitchell gauges, AuCountry eyebrow, Nu-Lites.
Paint and interior and this is as good or better than new.

Very impressive!!! What mods were done to the engine? I have been curious about the performance of a cheetah with a few modifications.

With porting and polish on new Lycoming cylinders, the O320 dynoed at 175 hp before leaning. Leaned at near sea-level, it went to 188 hp. As flown, it had a Power Flow and a 61 inch pitch Sensenich prop. I wonder how it will fly when the engine gets broken in.

Fletcher should have certified the prop with a 63 2 pitch as well as the 61 2 pitch.
