i'd like to ask two questions to list expertise.

Why on Ch701 it was used a series 6 laminar profile (NACA 650-1Cool in a low speed , draggy context ?

Why is there a new stop tab that hardly limit elevator down travel with resultant not too much nose down authority in same flight envelope points.

thanks in advance

(1) I have no idea about the choice of wing airfoil however it was chosen by a professional designer who also chose the Robin HR200 and 2000 series structures and mine flys OK

(2) The recommended elevator limits I understand only apply to CH601XL, and the explanation given is to prevent wing overload under certain piloting conditions. This type of limitation is often incorporated to aircraft when other changes such as weight increase can lead to the original setup becoming marginal. Cessna did this to the 152 and 172 max. flap settings (as does Zenair for the rev-4 and later CH701) and the C177 had elevator slots added, there was nothing bad about any of these planes just some pilots needed more margin.
