Hi All,
I'm having a problem with safetying the turnbuckles that connect the
cable from the aileron bellcranks to the 6b17-4 torque tube. There isnt
enough clearance between the edge of the tongue torque tube and the
inside edge of the turnbuckle fork to the safety wire. If the torque
tube tongue is vertical it's OK but if you deflect the stick to either
side then the wire is pinched between the edge of the turnbuckle fork
and the torque tube tongue.
My Tech counselor suggested using locking turnbuckles but I cant seem to
find the MS21251-4RS/4RL parts for that.
Any ideas or suggestions ? I assume other folks must have run into this
as well ?
Thanks,
John Davis

John,
I had a similar problem with the rudder pedal hookup on my 601HD. I
bought MS21252-4LS fork ends from Wicks. I realize there's a difference
in the part number from what you said, but I think the 21252 is correct.
Hope this helps. BTW, I'm in Hendersonville, NC.

Hi John,
There are a number of solutions to this problem.
You can grind the corners of the mating plate down with a Dremel tool
to make room for the wire.
You might get away with a lighter gauge of safety wire if you get it
into the outside corners of the fork.
Good luck,
