To any of you flyers out there, what is your opinion about the need for the Allen trim indicators? Should I definitely install them? Not? Are they part of your 'scan' or not?
I am installing TCW's Trim controller and will be operating the trim from the stick grips.

I am using the Advanced Flight Systems AF-3500. They have indicators built in for elevator, aileron and flap position. No need to mount the trim indicator.Jim Combs (N312F, 40192)> --> RV10-List message posted by: <mauledriver(at)nc.rr.com>> > To any of you flyers out there, what is your opinion about the need for> the Allen trim indicators? Bill,
Same w/GRT - you can display trim and/or flap position on the display if you want.

If your EFIS can display them, then that's a good way to go.
If not, you'll for sure want them for the elevator, and probably
also want them for the ailerons. For the rudder I find no
need at all. For the flaps, I'm finding no need either...
they're an easy visual check.
