I picked up a 601xl kit at the factory last Friday. As of late yesterday
afternoon, I'm off and running! The rudder skeleton is done, and I'm catching
my breath.
I did look at the 650 that was under construction while I was there. It
confirmed part of my reasoning for staying with the XL. The baggage behind
the seats would rub against the canopy. I suspect, in time, it would leave
numberous marks.
There was a lot more headroom, however.

Ooh boy I'm keen to get started, mine supposed to arrive tomorrow but the weather and Customs may play a part.
