Very spiffy.
My idiot question for the day is; what is that strange object beside their strip that looks rather like a train signal?

A train signal.
Dont ask, it made sense to somebody.
Actually it holds the wind sock and the railroad is nearby. Since the runway ends are not visible to each other, some have suggested it would be helpful to prevent head-on takeoffs when the winds are calm....if illuminated.
But it does make about as much sense as selling beer and wine at truck stops.
