When I worked as a research scientist at the AFRPL... the original name, I worked with researchers at UDRI (University of Dayton Research Institute for those wondering). Â I've been the the museum several times. Â That was in the mid-late 80s. Â A lot has probably changes since then.Â
I also worked with researchers at Penn State, Univ of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Univ of Utah, MIT, CalTec, UCLA, USC, Navel Post Graduate School, Lockheed Martin, UTSI, . . . . Â Hell, I don't remember them all. Â I also worked with Dr Price from Univ of Georgia on scramjets. Â We did a few scramjet studies. Â Not many. Â
At Edwards, I was a propulsion engineer on F-16s P&W engines. Â I saw the a few engine runs on the F119 at P&W Florida. Â
After all of that,I wouldn't give up working on the little Grummans. Â Plus, if I need something, I don't need to go through 6 months of requests. Â No morning meetings either.
