When I worked as a research scientist at the AFRPL... the original name, I worked with researchers at UDRI (University of Dayton Research Institute for those wondering).  I've been the the museum several times.  That was in the mid-late 80s.  A lot has probably changes since then.

I also worked with researchers at Penn State, Univ of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Univ of Utah, MIT, CalTec, UCLA, USC, Navel Post Graduate School, Lockheed Martin, UTSI, . . . .  Hell, I don't remember them all.  I also worked with Dr Price from Univ of Georgia on scramjets.  We did a few scramjet studies.  Not many.

At Edwards, I was a propulsion engineer on F-16s P&W engines.  I saw the a few engine runs on the F119 at P&W Florida.

After all of that,I wouldn't give up working on the little Grummans.  Plus, if I need something, I don't need to go through 6 months of requests.  No morning meetings either.
