Good report, Paul! You only forgot one thing: If I can find my position so accurately, here in Norway, and for free, it is thanks to the US DoD and the American tax-payers who pay and maintain the GPS system. Thank you, America!

Exactly. The program PocketFMS even let you adjust your known altitude from the PDA. But then, if you land somewhere else ... It's a bit like the problem of setting the altimeter to QNH and fly somewhere else, with a different barometric pressure.
