I used double sided carpet tape that I got at Lowes. Home Depot also sell
it. It workes fine.

After trashing two trim tabs (wood blocks, tape, and all) I finally took 3rd
purchased tab to local sheet metal shop. Should have done it first time!

They had a brake that had various width "clamps" to hold down just the tab. Then they would gently fold the main trim tab out of the way as they made the 90 deg. bends. 10 minutes, no charge. (Of course, I had known the owner for years.)
