Nick, For what it's worth, I think there's a better way to achieve some improvement in the induced and parasitic drag of the Mark III wing that does not require an extension of the wing span. I should say that I'm making the assumption that is what "make it fly all the way to the tip" means. Build the wings per plans and make a very good fitting, sealed, gap cover between the wings. You cannot stop spanwise flow at the wing tip, no matter what type of wing tip you use, but you can limit the number of wing tips where it will occur.
