Hi Guys

I am having a tuff time getting the exaust flanges to be tight up against the exhaust ports. After tightening with the exhaust wrench all the way the pipe is still loose. It look to me that there is no gasket it just butts to the engine??Any help would be appreciated.

There are gaskets of a sort that are supposed to be there. We usually cal them exhaust doughnuts. They are part No. 10-04-542. If you have a used engine and find that even with the doughnut in place you can not tighten the nut then the cylinder has been eroded. We have a repair procedure here that will build up the aluminum and re machine a new seat to save the cylinder.
