Twice this past week I have received messages that indicated that the
Matronics KF list has bounced back my posts because they recognized them as
SPAM.
The list has been very quiet of late. Has anyone else goten rejection
notices?
Incidentally, both posts were actually posted to the list, so nothing was
lost - just curious.

Hi Lowell,
As far as I know, all messages have been getting through OK. Did the spam
message come from the Matronics software, or from your ISP or some other
ISP? It is strange that the messages were marked as spam, but made it to the
list.
I can try to investigate if you send me the message you got back.

Actually I think that the spam messages are coming from someone's ISP on the
list. I don't think it is the Matronics email software doing it. When you
send an email to the KF list, the Matronics list software then re-emails the
message out to the list of members. Then some ISP (or junk email software on
your computer) processing the email for the person on the list sees the
email as spam or junk email and parses the sender's email address and sends
the "you are sending spam" message back to the sender.
Some of the ISPs are using really lame spam filters and see key words as
spam. Legitimate messages never get sent to the right recipient.
Anyway, I will try to find out who on the list is sending these messages.
Could everyone please look in their spam or junk email folders and see if
there are KF list messages in there. If there is, you need to contact your
ISP or configure your anti-spam software to accept messages from

Don,
I don't know if this has any thing to do with the spam messages. I had
noticed I wasn't receiving any of Lowells messages to the list. Last
weekend I sent a trouble report to Matt telling him of the problem.
I then sent a personnel message to Lowell to which Lowell responded.
I'm still not getting Lowells post to the list. The same thing was
happening to Kurt's messages for quite some time, but that has cleared up.
In all probability, not related to the spam problem. Just thought I'd
mention it. Norm.
