Wow! "Ground Shy" pilots might want to avoid St. Barts. However, I love the Caribbean and watching the video makes me want to go back.

Now to your question. The video indicates that this runway (10) has 1650' usable which is sufficient for a Lightning. However, it very well may not be sufficient for the pilot. So the answer to your question is "it depends". Remember the performance of any airplane depends on the "teams" capability, and that team is both the airplane and the pilot. But there should be other pieces of information in your decision process when ever you are deciding on going to a specific airport - not just airport length. Obviously the forecast winds and weather at the expected arrival time is a big consideration. What happens if you get there and find a 25 knot cross wind - that runway is pretty narrow. And for an airport like this one, which might tax some pilots, another important question is how far away is another runway - an alternate in case you need to go somewhere else for what ever reason. For example, you are headed for this airport and just as you get there the airplane in the pattern ahead of you "dings" and closes the runway. What are your options then? Do you have the fuel to make it there with the current winds? Those are the things that I would want to know before I headed there. So you see, the real answer to your question is - it depends.

I agree with Buz, but would add a couple considerations.
My understanding of winds in the Caribbean is that it depends greatly on the time of day for both direction and velocity. I dont think the runway is too short, but gusty crosswinds could be a problem. It would be important to flight plan for optimum winds. Some islands experience a 180 degree wind shift between night and morning. I would rather land on 28 than 10 if I could. Coming over water would mean less turbulence.
The next issue is with the pilot. It would take some practice and precision flying to nail approaches and touchdowns in the potential conditions. As we all know, speed control is important for both long and short wings. It might make sense to add the new wing tips....to lower your speeds on landing. If you did all your flying off wide, long concrete runways, you can develop some bad habits. After flying he grass and hill at Green Landings, everything looks better, including this runway!!
The airplane in the video exaggerated both the approach and touchdown run...in my opinion. I thought it was a lower approach than necessary as well as a longer ground run than necessary. It looked to me like using braking he would have made the turnoff in the middle of the runway. Reminds me of landing at Midway in Chicago on Southwest. I was there as in kid in 1958. The runways were a little short then, they are not longer now!! Always fun to point out the end of the runway to other passengers as we made the turn onto the taxiway.
Finally, there is a difference between what you CAN do and what you WANT to do on a regular basis. We CAN fly and land in rough conditions. Age seems to make me WANT to less.

If you dig just a bit deeper from the YouTube video you can see the same landing done by a 737! IT just happens to be in Flight Sim though.
BTW has any modeled the Lightning For Flight Sim X?

Charles is probably right to question my abilities, especially since he probably knows I would have trouble keeping my eyes from looking at that topless beach just off the end.
