Any thoughts on using a metal friendly adhesive to hold these strips instead of rivets??

I live in the desert of Arizona so it gets hot in the summer. Of my fellow plane builders none of them have been able to make anything like Velcro strips stay in place for long with adhesive only. The only thing I've had stay in place is lightweight upholstery glued on with Weldwood contact cement. I did put anti oil canning strips in my 701 and was tempted to use double stick something to attach the L angles but just know they would be on the bottom of the fuselage in time, maybe jambing something up.
