Just out of curiosity, I did some compression test comparisons using a dynamic compression tester. You know, the kind of tester 'engine' guys use to determine the health of cylinders.
On a ported and polished, high compression, O320-E2G LyCon engine with 55 hours on it,
79/80 ----- > 145 lbs
79/80 ----- > 145 lbs
79/80 ----- > 145 lbs
79/80 ----- > 140 lbs
On a stock O320-E2G with 1200 hours on it
76/80 ----- > 100 lbs
77/80 ----- > 100 lbs
77/80 ----- > 100 lbs
78/80 ----- > 110 lbs
Now I need to look at my engine.
A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!

Not surprising with the better breathing engine and the higher compression ratio. I doubt if very much of the difference is due to the lower differential compression numbers.

I'm changing my inspection checklist to include dynamic compressions as well to see if I can build a data base.

Did you have someone help you do the cranking compression test? Or do you have a remote starter switch and operate that yourself while hold the compression tester?

I use the same screw in adaptor used for the static test
