Greetings from Seattle,Have been looking at online information for building a reserve lift indicator using the converted meter for the indicator.  Have so far been unsuccessful at drilling the required 5.25 and 5 .875 3/16 holes for the probe.
Looking around the archives and a few other sites, saw mention of a fella down in Texas who was selling these probes for a modest sum.    Any of you know if he still makes them and how to reach him?
I've severall other ideas I want to try but would purchase the danged thing if I could find one.

The guy in Texas is John Bolding (jnbolding1(at)teleshare.net (jnbolding1(at)teleshare.net)). He has had at least two batches molded in nylon. Mine should arrive on Monday. He says he has plenty left. Others who have placed theirs into service can add their comments. John’s price with shipping is $40. He is active on the Zenith lists and should respond soon. The differential pressure gauges are also available, I think from John or others.

John:

I made 2 out of wood (1x2 - which is really about 3/4 by 1 1/2). The first
was to confirm that I could drill the holes straight enough with my
handheld drill. The second was for real. The entire process took about 1
hour.

After painting (the paint shop actually phones me to confirm that I wanted
to paint a "stick with holes" along with the rest of the small pieces) it
looks great.

I drilled both holes in my drill press and used a bench vise to hold
the piece of aluminum bar stock. I think there's a website that shows
the diagram of the LRI somewhere. I bought a long drill at my local
hardware store. the two smaller holes were a little difficult, but I
managed anyhow. Good luck....Do not archive
