Was there a message recently from a Builder seeking to borrow flanging dies? I thought I might have seen one, but can't find it.
I have steel dies made to Zenith specs on the 701 plans. They have been altered to also fit within the channels required for 601's.
They have been used already by several Listers and are available to be loaned again if needed.
They are 65, 95, and 115mm.
With the new ZA models, have the lightning hole dimensions remained the same, or are there new sizes?
Thanks,
Randy, Las Vegas

At one point I posted about borrowing a set from someone.
I planned to make a set of dies or have a set made, but the cheapest price I was quoted was like $500 or some such. I decided to just use a slotted stick with prices like that.
If I could borrow a set that would be spectacular.

I made my dies out of plywood here's how they came out:

Then I used a slotted stick to straighten the rib web, you might still have to do this even if you use steel dies:

It was faster than doing it with the stick from the beginning and the wooden dies are easy to make. Here are the instruction on how to make wooden flanging dies.

Hello Lee:
I have a set of steel Zenith dimensioned dies that I am happy to loan to
other Builders. Several Listers have used these with positive results.
They are currently on the way to another Builder who estimated that he would
have them for s short time.
What is your requirement? How soon would you need them, and where are you
located?
Regards,
Randy, Las Vegas
