Is the MIL 6000 OIL hose from Aircraft Spruce acceptable for use in the 912 oil system? It costs about 5 bucks per foot and is rubber covered, unlike the oil hose that came with the 912 which had some kind of fabric covering embedded into the surface.

Clem, The concern with oil line hose (912) is the vacuum side to return oil to the reservoir. The cloth type cover Aeroquip FC332 cloth type covering is made for both pressure and vacuum and is probably what you have now. You can get this at racing shops or at local hose shops. You can also get it blue.
