All of the reports, forms, paperwork, and data have all been submitted to the FAA.  It's in their hands now.  The DER says I should have the STC in a couple of weeks.  But, I think he lives in dog years.

Here's the deal.  I am looking to buy a house.  I need down payment money so I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse.

As it stands, my plan is to sell the cowling for $8500, exchange (that's a bargain if you've tried to buy Cessna, Piper, Bonanza, or LoPresti cowlings).
On top of that would be:
  • the cost of baffles (as yet to be determined, but, it looks like about $300 to $500 per set.  Cost depends on how many I order).
  • the cost of baffle seals, installation labor and materials (about $800)
  • Painting the  inside of the cowling with polyurethane paint (required by the STC for fire protection)
  • Block sanding, prepping, priming and painting the outside white.  About $1000 to $1500 labor and materials.
  • half off on labor to fit and install the cowling.  (this could be as much as $4000 based on three previous installations)

For the first ten (10) cowlings only, I'll include the baffles, baffle seals, and all the cowling finishing at no extra charge.
That is a potential savings of up to $7000.
You could, conceivably, fly away for $10,000 (assuming you have a Power Flow w/short stack).

But, there's a catch.  I need a 50% deposit on the cowlings by the end of April.  (Don't worry Martin, I'll include you)

I have 2 cowlings made already.  More are in the pipeline.  It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to make the complete cowling.

PS, this isn't an April Fools joke.

What is the requirement re-need for a power flow exhaust. Standard exhaust will not work?

please pass along my offer for, what amounts to, about a 20% savings on the cowling to anyone who might not have heard about it.
