Just use environmental splices that we use in all  of our installs that require corrosion proof areas.

 Excellent!  The only thing I can add is that you can get round lacing cord (so you don't have to keep 'untwisting' the flat cord) ...... look for 'rib stitch' cord .... used to stitch the fabric to wing ribs.
