Just FYI if it hasn't been announced earlier, the new SI for approval of E10 is now out on rotax-owner.com.
SI-912-016 for the 912 drivers, SI-2ST-008 for the 2-strokes.
For the 2 strokes, they approved only the 503 and 582 for E10. The 447 and
others they didn't test with 10% so they're officially still restricted to 5%. I suspect that means the 447 is soon to be discontinued since they didnt bother to test it.
Internally, don't know of anything significantly different with the 447 over the 503 so I bet it'll run and wear fine on E10.
So there we finally have it....

10% ethanol is approved. Posted below. Decalin is ok for avgas. 25 hr. oil chnages if you use avgas.
A 2 stroke SI listed also.

My thoughts exactly. If Rotax drops production of the 447 that will open up the market a bit for their competitors' low powered lightweight engines, like Hirth, Simonini, and MZ.
