I am at the point in the fuselage plans where I need to construct the hardwood clamping block (29-4). It appears that it requires a table saw to cut the compound angles. Unfortunately, I don’t have one. My band saw doesn’t cut straight enough to make these long cuts and can’t handle compound angles.
So if there is anyone that didn’t do a quick build and is finished with their clamping block that would be interested in selling or loaning their clamping block for awhile, I would be very appreciative. My other alternative is to find somebody locally that may have a table saw that I could use to make the clamping block.
Thanks,
Bob

I dug mine out of the garage and you are welcome to it. It does have some damage on one end but I don’t think it will affect performance. I am still in Georgia, let me know if you want me to ship it up to you.

Always behind the times… FWIW, I found my clamping block in the back of the garage a couple weeks ago – not sure why I saved it except that it’s cut from an oak 4x4! It’s available to anybody that wants it, just send me an email.

Anyone near the Willamette Valley in Oregon…I’ve got a PERFECT clamping block built by my neighbor (a retired cabinetmaker) out of “junk wood” he laminated. It’s birdseye maple, Brazilian cherry and American walnut…I’d like it back, as it’s a work of art, but you’re welcome to borrow it.
