Has anyone converted their Yak 55M to Cleveland wheels and brakes and if yes, would you mind posting what the Cleveland part numbers are for the conversion? Thanks very much.

Sure. No problem. BTW, I used 15X6.00-6 tires. Are you planning on
using gear extensions, or just adapters?

I am gathering this information out for a gentleman in France. So whatever suggestions you pass along, I pass along to him.

Hi, I bought my yak 55 with Cleveland brakes installed. Had no problem except that you needed strong legs to hold the beast at full power. A year ago I had a back operation and don't have those legs anymore. I could not even hold the brakes at 50% power. It seems the ratio between the master cylinder and the calipers were not correct. The calipers fitted are similar to a Cherokee 140. I got hold of a set from a Cherokee that was in a crash and made a new torque plate to carry one caliper in front and one at the back.
Now the brakes feel normal and I have no problem holding 100% power. The pedal travel is +/- 15 mm from zero to max.
The calipers the yak came with have 50 mm pistons and the extra ones I fitted are 44 mm.
