|
|
Hi,
I am seeking any information on a spinner for a Yak 55M. I currently
have a spinner (an do not have gills) which needs to be replaced
(crack in the bulkhead), but I don't know where this spinner
originated from and it's not like the typical Yak 52 spinners I have
seen.
If anyone has a 55 with a spinner, can you provide any insight to what
I can use to replace this spinner?
Thanks,
Anthony.

Anthony,
Standard prop or MT? Large diameter (Crowder) spinner or more like the spinner sold by Termikas.

Good question and sorry for not providing this before. I have the
original 2-blade prop.

Sorry about the punctuation, is it a Crowder spinner or the smaller one like Termikas offers?

I think Anthony has the Crowder spinner. It is the large one and for sure
not a MT.

If it is the Crowder spinner it has a long history of cracking the bulkhead. This is the second of these that has reported cracking in the past month. I have not heard of anyone fixing these other than removing them.
Now if Craig Payne would only continue working on a spinner solution for us. He need to find a shop that can turn a 20 inch spinner. Hint, hint Craig!!

Thanks everyone, as Kregg mentioned earlier on this thread it is the Crowder spinner. It seems like it is unlikely to find a replacement (but I am hopefull), so are there any alternative suggestions to this spinner? I currently don't have gills or iris and associated controls so these would be an expensive last resort.
Thanks,
Anthony.
