Malon and others,  

   

A friend recently purchased a Lyc O-360 for a fixed pitch prop from Van’s.  

   

The engines come with the SS tube from the front to the rear governor accessory plate.  

   

With this arrangement, is it still necessary to puncture the diaphragm in the crankshaft as per lyc service bulletin?
